TYPES OF LEADERSHIP.

Leadership is been able to influence others to attain goals.

From my understanding there are three types of leadership as shown above.Autocratic leader :is you must do what I said or you are fired. Laissez – Faire Leadership: Hands off power to whoever that is listening.

Democratic Leadership: Decision making is shared with members. Government of the people for the people and by the people.

But there are Two types of Leadership Behavior. These are Relationships and Task behavior leadership.

Relationship behavior leadership:The leader engage in relationships with the group or with individuals to facilitate behaviors, provide interpersonal communication and socioemotional support. What defines effective leadership is the appropriateness to a given situation and not the leader’s orientation. The leader should be matured, able to set goals and motivate people to obtain that goal.Be prepare to educate and take responsibility. Understanding high task and low task performance and making provision for successful employees.

Task Behavior Leadership: Define the organizational structure, the channel of communication. And a specific ways that a task must be accomplished. Task behavior leaders define what each individual or groups should do,when it must be done, where it should be done and how the tasks must be accomplished. Task behavior leader doesn’t care if you are dead or alive. You must accomplish a task at his or her time.

Managerial behavior :There is no single style of leadership that is the best.Rather than been a task behavior leader or a Relationship leader.I will prefer a manager. A manager is a person administering the organization or part of the organization. If the manager is worried about performance evaluation from higher level (The big boss).Or focusing on building up positive and supportive subordinates that can function and coordinate activities when the manager is not there.Leadership effectiveness depends mostly on situation variables. (That is situation in the environment that is untentionally affecting a situation)

No matter how good and sophisticated the organization is or how great the employees are.No organization will succeed without good leaders. Some other types of leadership are Coaching, Servant, Autocratic, Democratic, Laissez- Faire, Visionary and Pacesetter leadership.
