You have decided that you want to be a Registered Nurse (RN)so you applied to Community College for their nursing program after you have graduated from high school. You will spend almost two years to finish the required prerequisites and two years in the nursing program. After you have graduated then you prepare and take your NCLEX EXAMINATION.
But if you choose the freshman pathway BSN.You will apply for direct entry without any previous nursing education. That is if you are interested in earning bachelor of science in Nursing. There is a four years pathway or a five years pathway. You will apply to the school of your chioce directly. So many schools especially private universities are advertising that there is no waiting list.Private universities are more expensive than public universities. The cheapest is the community College, you will not be in so much debt when you graduate. The chioce is yours. You will also sit for your NCLEX EXAMINATION to obtain RN license after your BSN.
