I AM DIABETIC. SHOULD I LOVE ALCOHOL.

Should I love alcohol?.

No don’t love alcohol.

Because alcohol doesn’t love you.

Your question should be.

Can I drink alcohol.

Yes you can drink alcohol.

Is your diabetes under control?.

Everything is always good with moderation.

Talk to your doctor about

how many to drink .

What to drink.

If you can drink alcohol.

If you can don’t drink alcohol.

If you must moderation is the key.

Follow all doctor orders.

How many drinks are we talking about he asked?.

He discussed the risk.

Without the benefits.

Meaning there were no benefits.

Alcohol can affect the kidney, nerves, the liver.

Except self satisfaction.

And feeling good.

Don’t mix alcohol with your medication.

It is very dangerous.

Because it can lower blood sugar

and cause confusion.

Don’t drink alcohol on an empty stomach.

You can mix alcohol with soda, juice or water.

But it didn’t change the content

or the amount drank.

So don’t let the guy named alcohol.

To control you.

You should control the guy.

As a man two drinks a day.

Will be fine, can mix with soda ,juice or water.

The less alcohol the better.

And as a woman one drink is good.

Are you pregnant?.

If you’re pregnant.

Talk to your doctor because

alcohol can affect unborn babies.

You can mix the way you want it.

Check the label when purchasing alcohol.

Buy the wine with less alcohol content.

Yes less alcohol content.

Who said that you cannot drink?.

You can but moderation.

Some alcohol will make your blood sugar lower.

And some will make your sugar higher.

Some will make you dizzy all night.

Moreover alcohol will make you gain weight.

Making it difficult to control blood sugar.

Drink non-alcohol beverage after each drink.

Beer 12oz?.

Not a must drink it’s a choice.

Wine 5oz?.

Not a mandate but a choice.

What do you think.

A week without sex will not kill you.

But a day with diabetic coma can.

Diabetic ketoacidosis.

Drink in moderation.

Eat food before drinking.

Drink juice, soda,lemon juice.

Talk to your provider.

Wine 5oz .

  1. In my opinion it is best to cut off alcohol completely if one is diabetic. One has to know their limits as of how much to drink. Alcohol can cause sudden rise or falls of blood sugar levels. One of my uncle is suffering from diabetes and is an alcoholic, he had to be admitted to the hospital in the recent past due to his drinking habits.

Some cannot. I cannot tolerate alcohol headache and sleeplessness night. You have to give people choice by explaining the effects of alcoholism. Lower blood sugar, weight gain,Uncontrolled diabetes, diabetes ketoacidosis, nerve damage, kidney, and liver.Consequence of sin is punishment, consequence of alcoholism is frequent emergency room for some people who don’t know their limits. Thank you.
