THE SILENT KILLER. CAME IN WITHOUT WEAPONS- HYPERTENSION.( HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE)

Hypertension which is another name for high blood pressure is known as a silent killer.Why is it called a silent killer?It is called a silent killer because you cannot see it killing you,you cannot feel or see the symptoms. It is a serious health problem that if left untreated will lead to peripheral vascular disease, cardiovascular accidents, heart disorder, kidney disease and eyes problem. It is very important to control your blood pressure to be able to age healthy.

Ten Commandments of High Blood Pressure. 1.Understand that even though high blood pressure will not make you sick, it is a very serious problem.

2.Take medication that will bring your blood pressure under control.

3.Cut down on salt and sodium intake.

4.Take your blood pressure medications as prescribed by your doctor. Don’t stop taking your medication even when you are feeling better.You should take your blood pressure medications at the same time every day. You can lower your blood pressure with changes in Nutritional intake and some lifestyle changes. 6.Overweight is not good for high blood pressure, so maintain a healthy weight. Exercise every day for 30minutes, walk around,Swimming. It should not be a rigorous exercise.

7.Limit your alcohol intake to one drink a day or avoid alcohol intake completely. It is not food,no nutritional values in alcohol.It will make you high and happy but cause you so many problems.

8.Follow your doctor orders and health care professionals on the control of your blood pressure.

9. Test your blood pressure when you go to pharmacy stores, doctor office visits or you can buy blood pressure machine. Keep your blood pressure lower than 140/90.

10. Diet is very ,very important. Pay attention to your diet and maintain a healthy diet with less fats but high vegetables, fruits and some protein.

Older adults over 60years diet ,medications and exercise should be use to prevent high blood pressure. Prevent disability, cognitive decline and early death by properly and aggressively manage your blood pressure.
