1.Do not clean wound with skin cleansers or antiseptic agents such as providone iodine, Iodophor,or sodium hypochlorite solution.

2. Neutrophils are the first immune cells to arrive at the site of infection.

3.Normal adult body has 4,000 to 10,000 ( Average of 7,000) WBC (white blood cells )per microliter of blood. Increase white blood cell means Infection.

4.Platelet sticky cells prevent bleeding and make a clot upon arrival at the injury site.Single Platelet bind to site of wound leads to adhesion( sticking,gluing). Next the Platelet will bind to each other for activation.

Normal Platelet count is 150,000 to 450,000per microliter of blood.

5.Acid mantle is acidic film,very fine and is found on the surface of human skin act as a barrier to contaminants that might penetrate the skin and as a great barrier to bacteria and viruses entering the skin .

6. Sebum is secreted by Sebaceous gland.Sebum and sweat will mix up on the surface of the skin.They form a protective layers often referred to as ACID MANTLE PH of 4.5 to 5.5.

6.The skin is the largest organ of the body. 2800 square inches .(20square feet)Every minute 30,000 to 40,000 skin loss.Renew itself about once in every 35days.
