What is nursing Code?.

A nursing code is an published body of Standards and accepted behavior in nursing profession to maintain it’s proficiency.We have the ten commandments of God in the bible.Nursing have eleven code. Follow the code and you will be fine.Here are the eleven code.

1.The nurse has the responsibility of providing services to human beings with respect, irrespective of the nature of their illness, social economic status, race,personality or background. The nurse must not be judgemental in providing care and services.

2.It is the responsibility of the nurse to maintain their competence in nursing through taking CEU and attending classes. As a Registered Nurse you need 30 ceu to renew your license every other year.

3.The nurse must provide patient confidentiality and maintain privacy of the information of patient under their care.When changing,providing care, dealing with patient information provide privacy.Remember the HIPAA law.

4. The nurse is responsible and accountable for their nursing judgment and actions taken. When in doubt ask your colleagues.

5.The nurse is competent based on qualifications and informed consent in making decisions, accepting responsibilities, delegation of duties to others based on categories, experience and qualifications.

6. Nursing promote wellness, restore health, facilitate coping and prevent illness. Nurses participate in activities that promotes the embodiment of knowledge in nursing and elevate nursing profession.

7. Nursing support high Standards and maintain professional efforts with set down rules and regulations for condition of employment.

8.The nurse will join forces with other health care professionals, the local community, the state and federal government to meet the safety and health care needs of the public.

9.The nurse will maintain proficiency of nursing practice, protect the public from false information and misrepresentation of information to preserve and maintain integrity of nursing.

10.The nurse continues to participate in professional efforts to improve and implement nursing standards.

11.The nurse will guard the patient and the public from unethical behavior and incompetent standards of care or unqualified services.If you see something say something.
