What Can I Tell My Young Self As A Certified Nursing Assistant?.

1.Be healthy, have balanced meals and be physically fit.

2.Be respectful to my clients.

3.I must not be loud.

4.Understand my scope of practice as a certified nursing assistant. I will refer the client to the registered nurse or charge nurse for complaint above my scope of practice that my clients have.

5.Organize and prioritize my work.

In the beginning of each of my procedures.

I wash my hands.

Gather the supplies that I will need.

Knock on the client door.

Introduce myself.

Provide privacy for my client.

Check client identification band to verify the client.

Explain procedures to client.

Ask client if it is okay to care of him/her.

Wash my hands when I finished.

Thank my client.

After Each Procedure.

Position client comfortably in bed,making sure that the client is aligned well in bed.

Bed in low position, and side rails up.

Call light within client reach.

Ask client if he/she needs anything else before you leave.

Wash your hands after the procedure.

Say goodbye to my client.

And document what I did.

Be a certified nursing assistant, it is a good way to start.You can feed your family, have a roof above their heads,Healthcare insurance for your children.
