Nursing profession is deeply affected by so many changes in the Society and globally. As we all know we are in 21st Century and it is very clear that nursing profession again faces so many challenges such as COVID19 PANDEMIC, Changes in Demographics,Noncompliance and Unhealthy lifestyle of so many people, The Economy that cannot support the rising health care costs, Lack of accessibility, the deteriorating environment, the politics, the instabilization of abortion clinics, and regulations of Healthcare. The world health (WHO)works worldwide for the betterment of the world. It promote healthy living, keeping the world safe and protect the vulnerable.Sometimes we feel that their goals does not go far enough. Their goal is to ensure that more people have universal health coverage protection for health emergencies. Transformation of our world the 2030 for Sustainable Development. The agenda plan of action for WHO are three Ps- People, Planet and Prosperity. United States of America is the wealthiest nation of the industrialized nations but it falls below the goals because millions of Americans have no health insurance, even some of the health insurance does not cover much,you have to borrow to pay for prescription drugs, major surgery or dental care,high infant mortality rate are high when compared with other industrialized nations.
In 2019 the United States of America spent 16.8 of the GDP on health care followed by Switzerland 11.3percent of their GDP.The lowest was New Zealand which spent about the 9percent of their GDP.
The USA Healthcare system in 2019 ranked the LAST among the 11 highest income countries. Although USA spends the highest proportion of its gross domestic products on Healthcare the elimination of Healthcare disparity and increase quality Healthcare for all Americans has eluded us.
Healthy People 2010- Center for Disease Control and Prevention with 467 objectives was designed to serve as the framework for the improvement of the health of all the people in USA. That is to eliminate health disparities and increase the quality of health for all Americans. Americans are highly dissatisfied as it exists and believe that healthcare system requires complete reevaluation and restructured to correct and fix it shortcomings.
Nurses are highly respected and are regarded by the public as more honest than other health care professionals. Nursing profession has work very hard to uphold their reputation in the Society in heavy demand with decent pay and more autonomy now than before in the Society. Nurses promote good, promote health,and prevent diseases with their constant patient education.
