WHAT IS NURSE RELATIONSHIP TO OTHER HEALTHCARE TEAM.

Communicate effectively and clearly on nursing’s perspectives in regards to patient and their family to other healthcare team members.

Be an active collaborator and work together with other interdisciplinary team. Avoid conflict.

Have an open system of communication.

Each employee should dependably do the work that they were hired to do.

Nurses and other healthcare professionals often perform their roles simultaneously to take care of the patients in achieving goals set.( Outcome criteria)

It is important and very necessary for the Nurse to serve as Liason between the patient and their family and the healthcare team.

Develop a comprehensive plan of care for the patients that include the inputs of the multidisciplinary team.

Have an open system to promote the exchange of information with other healthcare professionals.

Communicate objective data to other healthcare professionals during interdisciplinary meetings through patient Kardex.These data include all health status profile prepared by the nurse. The medical history, social history and physical assessment/ examination performed by the doctor. The initial diagnostic tests such as laboratory tests, chest xray ,CT scan, Plan of care,Chief complaints, objective and subjective findings,the flowsheets and patient discharge notes.

Alignment in communication is very important ingredients in dealing with other healthcare professionals.
