Challenges of Homelessness.

Homeless is just as it sounds no permanent address,living on the Streets.

Factors that contribute to homelessness are many and these include.

The runaway from home youths which is due to :

A. Abuse from family members.

B .Violence.

C. Poverty.

D. Hunger.

E.Pressure groups, and kids that graduated from foster care.

1. Adolescents .

Most of these adolescents use drugs, has been sent away from schools are involved in mischievous behaviors.

Living on the Streets disadvantages

They dwell on the streets using drugs and selling drugs .

Some become prostitute, panhandle.

They sleep under the bridges and uncompleted buildings, stealing.

2.Single Adults .

There are so many single adults that are among the homeless population They do prostitution ,sell drugs as a means of livelihood.

They have psychological issues such as depression and anxiety disorder.

Most of these groups are in their thirties, never been married and most of them get themselves involved in misdemeanor offenses.

These group of people are noncompliance in anything.

They go out of the norms of the society. Majority of these groups are blacks and Hispanics.

3.Families among homeless population.

It is important to know that families are one of the fastest growing population of homelessness. Most of these groups are single mothers with young children under 15years old.The average age of mothers is about 25years or higher with children. They receive aids from the government to support their children. These children don’t go to school and some have developmental delay problems .

Drug abuse and prostitution is the second nature of these groups. They know everything so they think and will not listen to any advice.

Disadvantages of living on the Streets.

1. Poor nutrition due to inadequate nutrients intake.

2. Lack of sleep due to noise from everywhere such as the cars, people, other homeless people.

3.Increase in rape everyday for those living in shelters.

4. Risk of contracting tuberculosis. 5.Pregnancy.

6.Deaths due to cases of aids.

Pregnancies and babies are born with low birth weight due to drug addiction.

7.Diritiness due to no place to 🚿 shower. Clothes not washed.

Solutions For Homeless.

I.Nurses Association to volunteer and form a nursing clinics for the home. 2.Center for soup and kitchen for mentally ill homeless people.

3.Clinic for Detoxification clients. 4.Clinics for social services, primary care for the homeless.

5.Lower income houses for the homeless.
