What’s the most money you’ve ever spent on a meal?.Was it worth it?.#Dailywritingprompt.#$100.00

The most money that I have ever spent on a meal was $100.00.I went to Las Vegas with friends for a wedding and site seeing. We attended the wedding at Elvis Chapel. After the church service we went on a bus tour that that took us around Las Vegas and also attended the time share conference. After the tour I wanted real food. I don’t want fast foods from Burger King,Carl’s Junior,McDonald’s, Jack in the box.I wanted real well prepared meals. My body was seriously yawning for a well prepared meal 🍴 served in a plate 🍽 with forks and knife.

So I walked into a very beautiful restaurant with confidence. I ordered a complete meal with a bottle of water. She gave me my tray to go to the cashier and pay .We were all in line that was straight to the cashier. It got to my turn to make payment and get out of the line. And the cashier said $100.00,I couldn’t believe what I heard so I asked again how much is my food she said $100.00 .I started sweating profusely.

I don’t usually sweat, then headache landed from nowhere. I told her that I don’t need the meal. She insisted that I must pay. So I brought out $100.00 note and gave her.She accepted it and gave me a receipt. I went and sat down to enjoy my meal.

The music was playing, lots of entertainment in the restaurant.People were excited full of life.I saw so many newly married couples. Even though the meal was delicious and satisfied my desire for good food I must say that it was not worth it. I felt like I threw away or wasted $100.00.However I learned my lesson and I vowed never to go to restaurants without finding out how much money it would cost.

The experience was vivid, unique and unforgettable. It was an experience that I will never forget in a hurry. The meat tenderloin was juicy tender well cooked, with broccoli, mashed potatoes. The apetitizer was mouth wetting and the dessert of chicken wings was yummy. The restaurant also served everyone a complimentary small bottle of white wine to taste. It was still not worth it. I think that $40.00 would have done all of that.

Lesson learned look before you leap.
