I usually walk five times a week.And I like using the fitbit sense advance to monitor my blood pressure and my movement while I walk .Walking is a form of exercise that is good for the body. Once in awhile I run not often probably once a week.

It is important to perform light endurance activities atleast 15minutes a day for your lungs and your heart.

Why should I 🚶 walk everyday?.

1. Sedentary life is not good especially as you age,so I walk to help improve my overall quality of life.

2.To maintain my weight walking helps me to burn calories. I used to weigh 140lbs when I was younger now I weigh 167lbs,5ft 6inches tall. If I stop walking I might get up to 200lbs.When the nurse told me that I weighed 167lbs I was not happy with her. I thought that their weighing machine is faulty but it is not true. I gained 27lbs.

3.Where two or three are gathered together there is a blessing in disguise. Walking with one or two of your friends, your partner or husband will be a form of socialization.

4.For my joints. The knee joints don’t have enough blood circulation so exercise such as walking can be good for the knees.

5.Studies upon studies show that walking supports the immune system because with walking blood sugar is reduced, blood is circulating well.

6.Give your metabolism a boost.

7.My time and me.Walking gives me a me time ,the only breath and voice that I could hear is mine.

8.Happy mood goes up ,stress and anger reduce quickly, my spirit is lifted up.

9.Walk can reduce cardiovascular risk and stroke risk by 30% according to recent studies on the importance of walking.

10.Reduction of chronic diseases such as hypertension, sleep apnea, diabetes etc.Studies shows that slow pace walking or speed walking can be beneficial if you can hit 10,000 steps in 30minutes.

Before you get yourself involve in any physical exercise consult with your doctor or healthcare professionals and follow up with their recommendations.
