Rationale : Patient is receiving blood transfusion and at the same time 0.9NS at 170ml/hour. The nurse should have stopped the normal saline fluid until the blood transfusion is completed then restart the 0.9NS per doctor’s order. This patient is receiving a total of 305ml/hour and that is why the patient has excessive IVF infusion.Doctor should be notified for new orders related to the excessive IVF infusion.
