Grief is universal .We all grief for our loss but the process of grieving is different from one individual another individual.

BEREAVEMENT:

This is a state of grieving in which we go through a grief reaction. Bereaved people often neglect their health. Bereavement tend to affect the patient and their families. The reaction of both the dying and the grief are the same. People grieving may require additional care due to negligence of their health for a long time. I understand this very well. I recalled that when my beloved senior brother died I didn’t take care of myself for more than one month because his death was overwhelming for me. I couldn’t bear the pain.

There are six stages of grief.

1. Shock and in disbelief. Difficult to accept that it is true. You just don’t want it to true.

2.Deveopment of awareness. 3.Restitution.You go into recovery phase ewto regain control and recover from your loss.

4.Resolving the loss.

5.Idealization.

6.Outcome.Where do I go from here. Making memories and keeping legacy.

Grief will lead to sadness, loneliness despair, anger, agitation, withdrawal from socialization, helplessness, hopelessness, feeling of death ,not eating, insomnia, heart palpitations ,fatigue, headaches, resorting to drinking alcohol.

Kubler -Ross has five stages of grief and death. They are as follows:

That angry about the loss.
