I am a morning person not a night person. I wake up at 06am turn off the outside light, brush my teeth and let my day begin with a cup of coffee.☕

There was a period of my life that I was a night person. And that was the time that I worked night shift for many years. To keep awake I had to drink two cups of coffee at night in a twelve hour shift. So I worked at night and slept throughout the day to be able to be awake during the night.
I am glad that currently I am no longer doing night shift. I had individualized plans for my work schedule and personal life to maintain stability and a brighter future.
When I did night shifts, I struggled a lot because I could not sleep properly in the day. I would sometimes stay awake for 36 hours, and on my days off (or nights off), I’d still sleep in the night. For me to get proper sleep, it has to be very dark and relatively quiet.
The staying awake all night was okay, even without the caffeine. My difficulty was lack of sleep during the day. So at the end of 3 to 4 12-hr shifts in a row, I’m knackered lol
