Tell us about your first day at something-school, work,as a parent,etc.#Dailywritingprompt.#firstdayatwork #humility #priority.

Ŵe allhavefirstday of something. That isfirst atschool, work, marriagelove affairor anything. The first dayat work I arrived 30minutes early . I was nervous but smiled and greeted everyone.I demonstrated my great people’s skills.

One of the staffshowed me the breakroom for me to keep my belongings. I went in and kept my bag andlunchbag 🛍atone corner. As soon as itistimetoclock in ,I clocked in.

On my first days at work I have àlways behaved ĺike a block head, having demonstrated that I don’t know anything people laughedat me and at the same time willing to educate me. And I love that because I don’t care about their  assessment of me ,the end result is my top most priority.

I remembered my first at work as a nursing assistant, I used the word “why”more than ten times they will laugh and I looked at them andIsmiled I enjoyed the mockery, knowing fully well that by the time that I am three months on the job I will be the one teaching them. And that is exactly what happened. By the end of two months the supervisor promoted me to night shift supervisor. I refused. He said to me I knew that you’re educated but you are only pretending. I later accepted the position since he insisted. I was there for few months and I left because I needed to further my career. Behaving like a moron on my first always workedoutfor me.

I recalled having worked as a traveling nurse with the hospital for eight months. Later the director called me and told me that she will hire me full time. Upon hire on my first I requested to be trained because I don’t know anything. She replied I am not training you because you know a lot.And she was right I didn’t need retraining to work in a place that I worked for eight months.
