CASE SCENERIO ON TRAUMA PATIENT WITH QUESTIONS!!!

After few days Mr Smiling G.(40years old man ) is taken back to the operating room for incision and drainage and ORIF/IMN of left tibia and removal of external fixation

and woundvac changed.Left dressing intact long poterior splint in place .Donor site left thigh. Alert and oriented × 3.

Medications Morphine 4mg intravenously Q2hours for severe pain.

Norco 1table po Q4hrs gor mild pain.

Norco 2tables po for moderate to severe pain.

Zofran 4mg po Q4hours.

Lovenox 40mg subQ daily.

Questions?.

1.Why was the patient taken back to operating room few days later.

2.Why did the doctor removed the external fixation?.

3.Why is Mr Smiling placed on zofran?.

4.What is donor site?.
