The risk that I took that I do not regret was going to San Jose ,California.I was getting frustrated where I used to work.So I thought about changing department or leave the employer completely.
Then a young RN named Samson that I trained came and greeted me.So I asked him what is he upto .He told me that he would be working as a travel nurse with his girlfriend. It was unbelieveable because he had less than six months experience. So I pondered over it.I asked myself if I could work as a travel nurse.I was not sure how secured the job can be.Is it doable?.Will this adventure be a mistake?.
And two weeks later in my dream,I found myself in a new environment with new people.I exchanged greetings with them and I woke up. So I decided to take the plung.I went and applied for traveling nursing jobs through Medstaffing. God sent me a help named Greg from Medstaffing. He was the best.God bless and keep him. I refused to listen to any negative opposition.( family)
I do not regret my decision. The pay is much better, the environment is safer and nicer.People are very professional and nice.My director and nurse manager were the best. They were sent to me by my guardian angels. My nurse manager is late now.May her beautiful soul rest in perfect peace amen.
Moreover they paid into my social security.I later realized that my former employer did not pay into social security. And all the nurses that worked only with that company are getting their retirement but not social security.
Conclusively, I do not regret the risk that I took .If given a chance I will do it again.I had the opportunity to know where San Jose is in Calfornia.I have social security built up and all the good stuff. It is always good to take risk.Hold the bulls by the horn. You fail you learn than not trying at all.
