Dogs or Cats.#Daily writing prompt.

I will prefer to have dogs than having cats. I don’t mind having both cats and dogs. But for now I want to settle with dogs.Dogs are vertebrate animals classified as mammals. They produce milk for breast feeding their new born. They are domesticated animals and are men best friends.

The reasons why I want dogs is for companionship and protection against intruders especially at night. I do not want the small dogs I prefer the German shepherd dog large size.

Dogs perform so many functions such as :

Use for hunting.

Protection.

Assist the police.

Assist the military.

Help disabled people.

Decrease loneliness.

Reduce anxiety, depression and stress.

I had patients who told me that their dogs provide emotional support, reduce stress,anxiety and depression.

Dogs perform so many other functions including pulling loads, sniffing stuff( street drugs),herding,decrease loneliness.

Responsibilities of dog owners are.

Feedings well with good nutrients.

Walk your dog let them get the required exercise.

Take your dogs to the park and allow socialization.
