There are many factors that will affect grief and death .These factors are families factors,socioeconomic factors, religious factors, cultural factors and age factors.
1.Family factors: The role of individual in the families are important factors that affect grief. If the eldest siblings demonstrates to be strong and encourages everyone in the family to be strong openly and grief quietly in the close door.Spouse also demonstrate this kind of behavior to protect the children. This is to prevent the children from being in pain.This might later backfire because the children are not allowed to go through grief reaction.
The deceased of a child can be devastating for the deceased family. The families should accept the situation, listen to their expressions, talk and discuss about it to help them deal with the situation. Families should be allowed to express themselves without being judged by others. Families of terminally ill patients will often blame themselves if anything goes wrong.

2.Socioeconomic status: The pain can be more if the deceased is the bread winner and responsible for the health insurance. So his or her death can be devastating to members of the family and make life to become more miserable. But if other members of the family can continue from where he or she stopped that will minimize the difficulties. For example Mr Orange Browie was the person with health insurance for the family. He became critically sick and his employer insisted that he must return to work immediately or his health insurance could be canceled. He couldn’t return to work . Mrs Orange Browie decided to apply for health insurance through her employer and she is approved. So she continues with the family health insurance three months later her husband died .His wife took over all the responsibilities of her husband. His death is very difficult, the loss is very painful and devastating but his family will not go under. She has to go through grief reaction for her loss.
An elderly person can find herself or himself in a difficult situation, since the death of a spouse may lead to a source of retirement income for the surviving spouse being either reduced or totally eliminated or cut off. The reduction of income can be devastating because it can lead to loss of a home,inadequate nutrition , loss of support and helpers.
3.Religious factors :Your religious beliefs and faith can affect how you grief in a big way. It can provide you with some comfort and solace to the individual expression of loss.Those who are not committed to their religious faith might blame themselves for the death and started going to church. Whereas those who were highly religious will be mad at God blaming God for their lost. And blame God for not being there for their families in a very difficult time. They might stop going to church because of their disappointment.
4.Cultural Factors : Culture plays a role in our physical and emotional expression of grief. There are so many clinical signs of grief that have been uncovered. These include tightest in the chest,shortness of breath,butterfly feelings in the stomach, sighing, repeated somatic, fatigue, loss of muscle strength,severe distress. The other findings include dizziness, chest pain, headaches, vomiting, weight loss, feelings of fainting.
Age factors: Children might not understand death like adults but they need to be educated on tĥat,provide physical and psychological support for them to go through grief reaction and deal with the loss.It should not be hidden away rather adequate support should be provided. Children need to go through the same grief reaction like adults to accept the loss and maintain emotional balanced well-being. Middle age adults that loss their parents are in a better position to handle grief and their loss.And will do better when or if they loss their partner later in life.An elderly adult that loss spouse or friends will recall their loss and allow them to plan and prepare for their own inevitable death since there is no place to hide when it comes.
